- Basic pillar of the anti-imperialist ideology is the “unequal economic development” of capitalism which entails one way or another to dominant and dominated nations and sates. Therefore, the categories of nations and state remain externally indifferent to each other and unmediated.
And this due to Nations, according to anti imperialists, not being social and historical fields, which are shaped as specific terms of Capital’s reproduction and being probably pre-cataclysmic conditions of human existence in general which are only later being misappropriated by the bourgeois revolutions
Nation as a general precondition and result of the homogenizing process of creating human “social capital”(modern civilians) is the predominantly political form of the bourgeois society which is limited by the State
The “National Question” rises through the sweeping wave of the capitalist history from the first movements pf the emergence of this particular social form until the later movement of its asynchronous shaping and its heterogenous completion to be resolved in the only way it knows and can through slaughters, genocides and the production of “external” and “internal” enemies.
“National self-determination” as much as an anti-imperialist ideological imperative and a basic capitalist social condition tells us a lot more about the Nation States’ need to exist: a) as guarantors of Capital’s application and b) as accelerators of the modern “Labor Society” instead of “Nations” themselves which retrospectively project their homogenized self in the “principles of History” to be fetishistically self -interpreted as “legitimate” Modern subjects.
The tautologies of the anti-imperialist ideology about powerful and weak Nation/States, about powerful and weak economies, about nations without own states” etc. have all been developed through a historical coincidence which has ceased to exist long ago. That of Capital’s underdevelopment as a universal/word relation which unified the partial competitions among the, for the most part, Nation-States in the making.
Detached from this condition the current anti-imperialist tautologies interpret the Capital’s world with the same outdated tools which even when they were introduced didn’t intend to transcend it but were made to actively engage in the “more rational management of its absurdity”.
Promoting instrumentally the “National Question” when this is present in countries or regions which anti-imperialism wants them to be “weak economic chain”.
Nationalizing one way or another every precondition and result of each “class struggle” with the later to be considered “progressive” only when it targets the “big imperialists” and their “foreign” States
Neutralizing the negative content of every category of the capitalist socialization through a shady ”socialist imperative” where the labor identity and “people” (the Nation’s working people) are deified, putting under the carpet that “working man” and its “national people” are forms of “inverted social existence” which confirm the symbolic and practical dominance of the value form over human life.
